Thankful: Day #3

Thankful for Sundays.  The best day of the week--filled with downtime, catchup time, family time, and sometimes (like today) dates with the husband, dates with friends, AND some yoga!  Glorious!  To begin the day, I got to have breakfast with my two best gals, Tara and Rachel.  Perhaps the last outing before Tara's baby #2 arrives?!  Then this afternoon, Josh and I got to take a yoga class together.  This opportunity rarely comes around these days!  We haven't shared a class together in months.  After class, we got to have even more fun and go on a quick dinner date.  Just wonderful!  And when we came home, Harper was cracking us up with her wild antics.  It just doesn't get any better than Sunday!

Thankful: Day #2

Thankful for Professional Photo Shoots!!  We have never had the opportunity to get our pictures taken by a professional photographer until Saturday.  Harper was a stinker and a half the whole shoot, but it's all good!  Beth was such a sweetheart and very patient, so I'm sure we'll get some good pictures out of it.  Here's a sneak peak she gave us:

THIRTY DAYS OF THANKS!!!

Hey blog friends!!  So, we did 'Thirty Days of Thanks" last year, and I have decided THIS is the exercise to get me back on top of my blogging.  Woohoo!  Luckily, I am only 3 days behind, so here we go!

THANKFUL DAY #1:

Can I just say that I am super thankful for this amazing fall that we have enjoyed together as a family?  Truly the best days yet.  We celebrated Josh's 30th Birthday with a wonderful surprise party, celebrated my friend Charlotte's lil' sweet P with a shower in Austin (and then her birth one week later!), celebrated my 10 year reunion of joining Pi Phi with my bestie for the restie Alyce, we balloon fiesta-ed, went to the farmers market, and played at the harvest festival.  Not to mention Harper's first Trick or Treat experience which was one adorable memory that I will always carry with me.  I can't stress enough what a wonderful few months it has been!  Here are some pictures of our fun:

End of Summer Wrap-Up

Summer is coming to a close.  It's wild how time is flying.  We are just days away from September-hooray!  I am absolutely ready for some cooler temps.  Nothing beats autumn in our land of enchantment.  Now that Harper is a little older, I really can't wait to do all the fun fall things here in Albuquerque.  I even saw a hot air balloon in the air this morning-that is a sure sign in New Mexico that fall is coming!!  Yep, the balloon fiesta is calling our name this year!  Can't wait!  Harper will be over the MOON to see some huge "ba-ya-yoons!"  Here are some final photogs from our end of season adventures:

So, we had a big 10 day vacay planned for next week.  But we decided to last minute change our plans.  Josh is back in school and really couldn't afford to be gone for such a long stint...plus Harper is sleeping like she is fresh out of the womb again.  Oy!  So turns out I am going on a SOLO trip to Texas next week for a long weekend.  Umm, can you say EXCITING!?!  A fabulous girls weekend awaits me!  I can't wait to see my bff Alyce and celebrate our friend Charlotte's little bundle of joy in her belly!!  I was looking forward to the long getaway before...but I have to say I am even MORE excited now to be going on a real girls only getaway.  Wooowoo :-D  Until next time...

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!

Yes, that was pretty much the theme of our trip to Las Vegas for our 5 year anniversary!!  We had a GREAT time.  So much fun, so much good food, and shockingly, lots of rest!  Most people do not really rest when they're in Vegas...we definitely rested--big time!  In bed by 11 each night, and sleeping until our hearts' desired!  It was amazing.  Here are some photos to recap our adventure to sin city :-D
