Thankful: Day #15

You know what is the best?  Getting a full night's rest, and then waking up before everyone else in the house, and quietly enjoying a cup of coffee.  Awwww.   Yes, that happened today, and I was in heaven.  Nothing like enjoying a little quiet-time while my loved ones snooze nearby!  Also, enjoying a cup of coffee is one of my favorite things in the world.  Enjoying it just silently by myself, makes it even better.  It really is the little things...

Thankful: Day #14

So, I'm making dinner on Thursday night and I realize it's a little too quiet...where is Harper and what the heck is she doing?...so I go to look for her.  This is where I find her:

Aaaackkk!  How sweeeeeet?!  Thankfully, I had my phone in my pocket, so I was able to capture this precious moment.  I couldn't even believe it.  Thankful for adorable little surprises like this that melt my heart.

Thankful: Day #13

Thankful for an unexpected lunch date with Josh today!  Harper loves to see Josh anytime, but especially when it is a surprise when he is usually at work.  She was pretty much beside herself through our whole lunch.  ((Which was delicious by the way!  Can't go wrong with Duran's!  Thankful for that amazeballs red chile.))

Harper's New Trick: Giving 'Mo Kisses' (Aka Eskimo Kisses)

Also thankful for a little morning stroll out to feed the fish at the Botanical Gardens.  I'm tellin' ya-the Albuquerque BioPark is where it's at with a toddler!  At least for Harper and me.  We go to the Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, and Zoo more than once per week.  So much to do, so much to learn, so much entertainment.

She ate half of the bread herself.  Silly girl!

And now babe is sleeping, and hubby is home studying.  All is well.  One more thing, thankful for these sweet sweet sweet wispy little blonde curls.  Sigh.

Thankful: Day #12

Tuesdays...I said it last week...they are so long!  So, every Tuesday, what can I say?!  I am glad when the long day of entertaining our toddler is done.  Even so, yesterday was a great day.  We got some errands and projects completed, went for a visit to Great Grandma's, and played in the backyard in the evening.

Even on a long-ass-day, life is grand!

Thankful: Day #11

November 11th.  If you remember my post from this day last year, you'll recall that November 11th holds a special/silly place in my heart.  Yep, every year my best friend Alyce and I acknowledge that this is Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday.  This is how my day began:

Oh yea!  A text bright and early at 7:19 AM to commemorate this.  It just makes me smile every year, what can I say!  I am so blessed to have a weirdo best friend, that I have known for SO long, that we can do really bizarre stuff like this, and get great pleasure out of it :-D

Next, our day continued to be wonderful because Josh was off work today!!!  YAY!  Loved this because he had been working all weekend.  We spent the day catching up on life, which we both love. Cleaning, cooking, laundry, yard work.  May sound boring...but feels so good to have everything in order to begin each week!  

  Josh and Harper got some quality daddy/daughter time in as well with a fun hike just the two of them.  

A very blessed day indeed.  Ready to conquer the rest of this short week!

Thankful: Day #10

It's Sunday again!  My favorite day of the week!  So, naturally lots to be thankful for on this beautiful day.  First, it was not as relaxing and family-oriented as usual because Josh worked yesterday and today teaching a class.  However, I have to say that I am so grateful that my husband has a skill set in which he can do these little side-jobs and bring our family a little more moola.  After all, we are pretty much a one income family, so every little bit helps!  Whether he's teaching classes or working on a movie with his mad scuba skills, it really is a blessing.  Thank goodness for Josh, just all around on every single level, every single day.

Also, thankful for our awesome Albuquerque BioPark!  Once again!  Harper and I conquer our quaint zoo at least once a week.  It has seriously been a lifesaver as a stay at home mom.  We spent the morning there again today, just her and I, and had a great time as usual.  It never fails to entertain, it's super close, and the perfect size!  Harper's current favorite animal is the 'clocodile' of all things!  We have to go there first every time now!  

Look how grown up she is!??!  When did this happen!

Thankful: Day #9

Holla!  Thankful for DATE NIGHT!!  Always a treat to spend some quality time with my love.  Thankful for Grandma Jean-Jean for babysitting and letting us get away for a couple of hours on our own.  So nice.  We spent our date night at Kelly's, enjoying a beer, and enjoying a massive plate of nachos.  And, BONUS: I ran into a friend a hadn't seen since Harper's baby shower!  A great, unexpected encounter!  Too bad I did not get any pictures of Josh and I out and about...But, as I've said before, that tends to happen when you are enjoying yourself and in the moment!  To make up for it:
